10 Fashion Faux Pas to Avoid at the Office
Dressing for business can be a tricky task, especially since many jobs have relaxed their once very formal corporate clothing expectations. Whether you are an employer wants to retain a sense of decency and professionalism, or the employee wants to know where to draw the line, here are 10 fashion faux pas to be avoided in the office.
1 Poll after poll, the number one employer among Gripe staff reveals a little too much in the office. Plunging neckline, mini-skirts and lingerie, to show all the unpopular decisions when trying to maintain a professional appearance to customers and visiting clients, so you should always be avoided.
2 Nightclub dressed not extend to sights of meat. Heeled shoes are okay, but extremely high heels hard to walk around in too little to do because they feel the company bosses trying to cultivate.
3 Another major faux pas when the clothes are too casual, like frayed jeans and shirts crinked. Neither interacts specifically look professional while corporate clothing may not be needed all the jobs, you should always strive to look smart.
4 This rule applies to a worn or dirty shoes, especially the coaches. Everyone has their favorite couple, but even if employers are in line with the coaches when they are worn or untidy in appearance, it's time to restrict them to a life outside work.
5 Other footwear faux pas is sand. Your colleagues - and trust me on this - do not want to see your toes. This is especially good advice for the gentlemen - especially those with hairy toes. This is not a good look. And if your colleagues do not want to see, you can bet your house on the fact that customers will not.
6 In most offices, wearing hats of any kind is frowned upon. When the hat is a hat or beanie, it's a definite no-no.
7 Sportswear, especially the shirts should be worn at the office. It is far too casual and just makes it unprofessional for business travelers. Embroidered polo shirts can be an exception, but only if they look smart.
8 If you work at the beauty counter, keep the make-up layers to a minimum. Thick and tacky makeup will make you do something good from a career point of view and the damage to the reputation of others.
9 A large, visible tattoos and unusual piercings can help your social reputation, but it does not convey the right message at the workplace. Employers, colleagues and clients want office workers look smart, clean and professional look.
10 Finally, even in an office where casual clothing is accepted, steer clear of the slogan T-shirts - particularly those who have the potential to offend others. May he be clever, witty and ironic, but if it does not make someone liking it will land you in hot water and damage to morale.
